The Norton School Humanities College

Here at The Norton School Humanities College we are committed to providing a learning environment to allow all young people the opportunity to fully develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and qualifications which are required for them to make a contribution to the community we live in today and to the society of the future.

Our fundamental assumption is that all our young people have the ability to learn and make progress. We offer, therefore, a first class network of support for academic, social and personal development. We recognise that if our young people are to be successful they need to be motivated, interested in what they are required to do, to be responsible and accountable for their own learning and to develop their self esteem, by becoming independent life long learners.

We want our young people to be happy, have high expectations and aspirations and be sufficiently challenged so that they are able to achieve their potential.

We will do this by having:

  • A curriculum that is relevant and purposeful
  • An environment which supports learning
  • A range of teaching and learning styles and support systems
  • Extensive use of technology to support learning and teaching
  • A National and International dimension to the life of the school
  • A wide range of enrichment/extra curricular activities
  • Parent, community and business involvement

In choosing The Norton School Humanities College you will be investing in a partnership approach where, working closely together, the young people of Norton will be successful.

Yours sincerely,

sig
